  • ITINERARY
  • Day 1: Arrival
  • Upon arrival at the Baku International Airport our local representative will meet and greet the guests and they are transferred to the hotel for check-in.
  • Day 2: Absheron Sightseeing & Baku City Tour
  • After scrumptious Breakfast, the guide and the driver pick up the guests from the lobby
  • of the hotel at 10.00 am, and head to the ancient Zoroastrian temple Ateshgah which is
  • considered as an authentic Azerbaijani exotic site to visit.
  • It is located about 30 km away from the centre of Baku in the suburb of Surakhany
  • settlement. At about 12.00 pm, the guests will visit the Mystical Burning Mountain
  • (Yanardag), which has burned itself with natural gas for several thousands of years.
  • Ateshgah and Yanardag tour combines exploration of two ancient and historical
  • places, which have been tied by culture and history for centuries. After 1:00 pm the
  • tourists might want to do shopping/Lunch.
  • After finishing with Absheron tour the driver & guide accompany guests to the memorial
  • place on the mountain. and have an amazing sightseeing tour of Baku city. The guests
  • will be taken to the Old City – Historical monument of Baku. The Old City of Baku is
  • protected with the Preservation walls remained since the 6th century. The guide
  • introduces the Old City’s history to the guests while they are travelling. The historical
  • places, such as Karvansaray, Maiden Tower, old labyrinth streets, mosques, small
  • souvenir shops are showed by the guide during the Old city tour.
  • Here the guests visit Azerbaijani historical museum Shirvanshah Palace which is among
  • the monuments within the Old City. In the mentioned museum tourists will enter the
  • throne room, shah’s burial place, mosque, tomb, and shah’s bathroom.
  • They will explore 19-20th century’s architecture: Nizami Street, Fountain Square, Nizami
  • Ganjavi monument, Rasul-Zade Street.
  • After the tourists might want to do shopping, the guide and the driver will be waiting for them till 8.00 pm and drop them off to the hotel if wanted.
  • Day 3: Transfer to Gabala & Tour
  • After having breakfast at the hotel, the tourists will be transferred to Gabala. First place
  • in Gabala they visit is – Nohur Lake. The tourists enjoy the gorgeous landscape of the
  • Nohur Lake. Then tourists head to hotel and having check in there. Relaxing time in the hotel.
  • The Gabala city tour starts after having rest in hotel. The driver will pick up the tourists
  • from the hotel and head to explore the beautiful nature of the city.
  • Gabala is the ancient capital of Caucasian Albania. Here the tourists visit Rope line
  • which has existed 4 stations around 2000 meters, as well as the Waterfall named Yeddi
  • Gozal (Seven Beauties). There are seven steps to go up the mountain. Although the
  • waterfall is hard to climb, it is worth visiting. The tourists enjoy climbing the Mountain
  • Tufandag.
  • Overnight in Gabala
  • Day 4: Shamakhi Tour & Transfer to Baku
  • Shamakhi Tour is an off-the-beaten-path trip to the center of winemaking and carpet
  • weaving and the city of numerous Azerbaijan poets. During Shamakhi Tour you will
  • have a chance to see the habits of Azerbaijanis, to get information about its first
  • mosque, and to explore the amazing view which is opening from the mountains.
  • The oldest and largest mosque in Azerbaijan, Shamakhi Juma, according to the legend
  • was built in the 8th century when Shamakhi was chosen as residence by an Arabian
  • caliph. The initial Arabian inscription on the portal of the mosque said that the mosque
  • had constructed in 744 AD. Therefore, Shamakhi Juma is considered one of the earliest
  • mosques in the whole of Transcaucasia.
  • The last destination of the Shamakhi tour is Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory is an
  • observatory in the Caucasus Mountains in Azerbaijan. It is named after Nasreddin Tusi
  • (Shao). It is located on the eastern slope of Pirqulu, at an elevation of 1500 m. It has
  • 150– 200 clear, cloudless nights per year.
  • After having Shamakhi Tour, the tourists will be transferred to Baku and check in the
  • Hotel there. Relaxing time in the hotel.

  • Day 5: Departure
  • After breakfast at the hotel, the tourists should have their baggage packed and do
  • check out from the hotel.
  • At the agreed time and according to the guests’ departure details, the driver will be
  • waiting for them at the hotel for the transfer to the airport.

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.
