Commerce model · Multivendor
A multivendor store is two products at once: a shopping experience for buyers and an operating system for sellers. Most fail because only the first was designed.
Buyers judge a multivendor store on consistency: is the listing accurate, does it ship on time, can I return it without an argument. All three depend on how well you govern sellers, and governance needs tooling, not goodwill.
So the seller experience gets equal design attention. Onboarding that verifies without exhausting, catalogue tools that keep data clean, order and shipping workflows sellers will actually follow, transparent commission and payout statements, and performance scoring with real consequences.
Get that right and the buyer experience follows, because the underlying data and behaviour are reliable.

How we run it
Narrow, deep and governed, then wide. The opposite order is the most common way these fail.
Commission rates against seller willingness, payment costs, return rates and the platform's own cost to serve. If the take rate cannot fund operations, nothing later fixes it.
Listing rules, SLA definitions, penalty ladder and dispute process written before build, because retrofitting governance onto live sellers is painful.
Buyer storefront and seller console developed together, with the commission and payout engine treated as core rather than an add-on.
Twenty to fifty sellers with genuine depth in one or two categories, onboarded manually so the process is learned before it is automated.
Only once supply and fulfilment are reliable does acquisition spend start, then category by category, monitoring seller performance as volume grows.
Why Globosoft
Reasons that hold whichever part of the 360° engagement you start with, and every one of them is something you can check before you commit.
Verified on the Shopify Partner Directory, with more than 100 Shopify ecommerce projects delivered for India, the UAE and beyond. We also build on WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce, OpenCart, headless and fully custom stacks when Shopify is not the right answer.
Consulting, design, engineering, integration and performance marketing report into a single roadmap. No handover gaps between a consultant, a developer and a marketing agency.
The growth engagement is an agreed percentage of the incremental sales we create above a signed baseline, not a recurring retainer that arrives whether you grew or not.
Sixty-plus people in our own offices in Kochi and Dubai, not a subcontracted network. Sixteen years in the industry and more than 400 projects delivered, from first-time startups to international brands, in India, the Gulf, Africa, Europe, North America and Australia.
Globosoft works as a growth partner, not a monthly line item. We agree a baseline, build and market your ecommerce, and take an agreed share of the incremental sales that follow. If your revenue does not move, our fee does not either.
No open-ended monthly fee for the growth engagement. The commercial deal is tied to sales, not to calendar months.
An agreed percentage of the incremental revenue we generate, measured against a baseline we both sign off before work starts.
Everyone in the room is paid by the same number: the revenue and contribution margin your store produces.
Questions
The questions that come up most often in the first conversation.
A plugin on WooCommerce or a multivendor app on Shopify is a sensible way to validate demand with limited investment. Once seller count, payout complexity or category governance becomes serious, plugins tend to hit walls around commission logic and settlement. We advise starting light where the model is unproven and building properly when volume justifies it.
It depends on jurisdiction and the gateway. Some markets support genuine payment splitting at the gateway; others require you to collect and then settle, which has regulatory and accounting implications. We design around what your payment provider and jurisdiction actually permit, and recommend confirming the structure with your finance and legal advisers.
It has to cover payment costs, platform operations, marketing and returns while remaining attractive to sellers, which means it is a modelling exercise, not a benchmark lookup. Rates commonly vary by category because margins and return rates do.
Verification at onboarding, catalogue moderation, measurable SLAs, a published penalty ladder and the willingness to suspend. The tooling matters, but the decisive factor is enforcing the rules early while the seller base is small enough to manage.
